There's no riveting backstory to how we met, or how we formed this alliance.
But at some point, we wanted to reach beyond the usual author's groups - and we started daydreaming about a place where we could connect in a personal way with readers. We set out to create a site that would allow us to visit with each other as if we were at home having coffee. Pull up a chair and join us!
The Kitchen Table will be for more challenging topics. It is meant to be a place where we can discuss serious issues in a respectful way.
The Living Room is a much more casual place. We will talk about some serious issues there but it will be less like a debate and more like a chat. We will also talk about many fun things here and have occasional polls for you!
The Library is where we will post reviews of grown-up books by indie authors. We may occasionally review a traditionally published book but VERY rarely.
Bedtime Stories is for children's book reviews by indie authors.
PJ's first book, The Mystic Princesses and the Whirlpool, takes children on a fascinating, whimsical journey of life-lessons. She says, "I want to share important values through teaching - not preaching. And it's important to me to include safety tips for children as an inherent part of my stories." When she isn't writing, or reading, PJ enjoys classic rock, jazz, midnight snacks (she has a secret stash of dark chocolate), and loves to travel. She includes her favorite locations as backdrops for her books. PJ'S Amazon Page
Also an author of children's books, Christin writes about empowering girls through imaginative play and exploration, as is reflected in her Jacqueline the Great series. Of course, she's an avid reader/writer; however, she admits to an affinity for the music of Adam Ant, while at the same time loving opera and Broadway musicals - and she's a self-confessed "addict" of British TV. In summary, Words With Women is a site where PJ LaRue and Christin Berger express themselves and hope you join in to liven the debates. Please leave comments on the pages, even if you disagree! We want to talk about these issues. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: We share this site, but we don't always agree with each other on everything - especially when it comes to the social issues. The views and opinions of one member don't necessarily reflect those of the other members. But for debate purposes, where we both share the same view point, one of us may actually defend views that oppose our true beliefs on a subject.
